Piston & Piston Rod Guide Rings (Wear Rings), plays a vital role in the successful performance and also in ensuring a Long Service Life of any Hydraulic Actuator. Triada Technologies is proud to offer a wide range of options in these Wear Rings, both in terms of Materials as well as in the Designs. These are available ex-stock for most of the Standard Dimensions as Machined Rings, Net Moulded Rings, Spiral Coils or as Strips.

Wear Rings/ Bearings have the primary task to precisely guide the Piston or Piston Rod of a Hydraulic Linear Actuator, at the same time absorbing the Radial Forces and any Shocks. Usage of Wear Rings prevents the metal to metal contact, which is highly essential to improve Friction characteristics and these also lower the Drag Pressure as low as possible, a major concern while using metallic or any other metallic Bearing Bushes. Depending on the material, these Bearings are also responsible for the housekeeping of the Cylinder inside, by absorbing the contaminants in the media, to a certain extent. The material characteristic of these Wear Rings also protect the main Sealing Elements and even the hardware during Cavitation, taking the brunt of High Temperatures, thereby making the need only to replace these Low Cost Elements (compared to main Sealing Elements), while overhauling the Cylinder.

  • The Wear Rings can be supplied in actual size of Piston (TRP) & also in the actual size of Rod (TRR)
  • The Standard Cut for the Wear Ring is Angle Cut, depending on the application wear rings can be supplied in Straight Cut as well as in Step Cut as shown below

T414S

Bronze Filled PTFE Wear Rings, “TRIALON” with Tear Drop pattern to enhance the lubrication characteristics. Offers very low friction, no stick lip. Available in thicknesses from 1.50mm to 6.00mm and widths from 2.50mm to 300mm. Excellent ability to absorb contamination in Oil and thgus also can be used as Trash Rings. Can be used for high linear speeds upto 15m/s

Materials: Bronze filled PTFE

Temperature (ºC): -60º C to 200º C (Based on Elastomer Material).

T416S

Carbon Filled PTFE Wear Rings “TRIALON” with Tear Drop pattern to enhance the lubrication characteristics. Offers very low friction, no stick lip. Available in thicknesses from 1.50mm to 6.00mm and widths from 2.50mm to 300mm.Used as Wear Rings in applications where the wear rings rub against soft materials like Aluminium. Can be used for high linear speeds upto 15m/s

“TRIATEX” Cotton Fabric reinforced Pheniolic Resin Wear Ring, offering high Compressive strength. The smooth surface keeps the friction as low as possible. Performs intact, even in case of Piston seal failures, protecting the Cylinder from being damaged.Linear Speeds upto 1m/s.

Materials: Cotton fabric reinforced phenolic resin.

“TRIATEX” Synthetic Fabric reinforced Phenolic Resin Wear Ring with elements of PTFE, which acts as lubricants. With water abosrption level at negligible levels, can be used in almost any media. Very tight tolerances possible.Linear Speeds upto 1m/s.

Diameter Range: Rolls Upto length 5500.00 mm Rings upto Ø500.00mm.

Materials: Cotton fabric reinforced phenolic resin.

Diameter Range: Rolls Upto length 10000.00 to 12500mm. Rings upto Ø500.00mm.
Materials: Polyester fabric reinforced phenolic resin + PTFE.

Materials: Polyoxymethylene (POM) + Glass fibres.

Care to be taken to ensure that the sliding surface is having necessary hardness. Finds applications in Heavy Duty Cylinders, particularly Construction Equipment Cylinders.Linear Speeds upto 1m/s.

Materials: Glass Filled PA.

Temperature (ºC): -40º C to 130º C.
