The WDF Scraper is a Double lip Wiper Seal, composed of two rings. The dynamic seal is a ring in TRIALON® (compounded PTFE) while the static seal is an O-Ring in TRIAFLEX®, also acting as an energizer. Depending on the application, media, cycle speed etc., the PTFE compound is selected and the O-Ring compound is selected considering the media compatibility, temperature etc. The lip at the outer edge avoids the dust particles entering into the system for axially moving rods, hence eliminates the damage to other seals and internal components. The inner lip retains the Hydraulic fi lm within the system, thereby eliminating the leakage and also providing adequate lubrication for the sealing lips. Strongly suggested to use with Back Pumping sealing elements (TRITILT® Seals for example), that too when experiencing high temperatures, media compatibility issues, tricky surroundings or when there is a concern related to frictional losses from Sealing System. Similar to WDE type of Seals but with diff erent Groove Dimensions.
